Two more of England's corners

Hi Everybody--This is just a quick post to let you know where we wandered to over our summer 'holidays'. We took a one-week trip up to Norwich, on England's eastern shore (Norfolk County), about a three-hour drive from London if nobody gets carsick. We'll post some of the great pictures from that week soon. We did the pier at Great Yarmouth (a string of little amusement parks on a boardwalk next to the beach), saw live seals in their natural habitat, spent most of a day in Norwich Castle, and looked after a couple of rabbits in the house we were staying at. We also got to watch Morris Dancing, go sailing on the Broads (a string of flat lakes that run through the reclaimed flatland that is Norfolk) and visited a fun but icy beach--it faces the North Sea, so even in August the water still wasn't inviting.
After a week at home, we set off again, this time for the southwest corner of England--County Cornwall. We stayed in St. Ives and hit both the most westerly corner (Land's End) and the southernmost point (Lizard Point) on different day trips, as well as visits to St. Michael's Mount, a Tate Gallery in St. Ives, the Eden Project, and tons of coves and beaches. And I can't leave out Tintagel--the castle most associated with the legend of King Arthur--and Merlin's cave. On the way home, we just happened to swing by a landmark I'm sure most of you have heard of....Stonehenge. Totally worth the visit. And the whole Cornwall trip was great--our tans have finally faded, but it took weeks.
